A Positive Attitude Makes All The
Difference
for Smitha Ramchandani, a Broker-Salesperson with Keller Williams in New Jersey. "Customer service is always my top
priority" says Smitha. “Each customer has a unique situation
and I work hard to meet everyone’s individual needs. My job is to
make sure you get complete and accurate information, and the
honest advice you need to make a good decision."
Her positive
approach and high energy has helped her close over $200 million in sales
volume since 1997. Since 1997, she has over 581 Closed Transactions.
Smitha was a successful business owner in India, her country of
origin. When she moved to the United States to be with her husband,
she knew that she needed to be in a field that allowed her to use her own
initiative and that would give her the freedom to advance as far as
possible. Used to working hard to get her own results, Smitha choose
real estate because she wanted to dictate her own working hours and
income. Smitha said, "I wanted to have a successful career, but
still have enough time to spend with my family." Smitha has two
young children, Simrin, 7 1/2 years old and Rhea, 6 years old. Diligent
and industrious, Smitha earned her real estate license and went to work.
Her husband Rahul is her team’s Technology and
Marketing Guru and has designed the websites and databases she uses to track her
business. In addition to helping Smitha in her business he owns his own Computer
Consulting business with clients such as AT&T, AIG and CIT.
They have lived in Morris county since 1996.
Smitha and her team have always capitalized on new advances in
technology. “We were the very
first one in my area to create a personal Website, when the Internet was
just taking off.” Her
extensive Website features a Morris County Real Estate Blog with current market updates
and industry news, neighborhood and relocation information for buyers and
up-to-the minute listings. Smitha says that even though her Website has allowed her to
attract more business, it hasn't changed the individual attention she gives
each customer. Trustworthiness is still her greatest tool. "Customers
want a salesperson they can trust and respect," she says. A dedicated professional, Smitha puts in a lot of hours. She
estimates she works an average of 50-70 hours per week.
Smitha also finds it personally rewarding to stay involved in her community.
Not only does she meet new people and network this way, but also she feels a
sense of satisfaction in contributing to her neighborhood and charity
organizations. She volunteers with the American Cancer Society and the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well as participating in the Annual Toy Drive and many Morristown Partnership Events.
No matter where she finds
her customers, Smitha says honesty is the only way to keep them coming
back. "When customers believe they can trust you, they'll stay loyal
and recommend you to their friends and family."
Smitha and her team believe that "The best part of their job is helping people find a
home and making friends. The American dream is to own a house. and it's so
rewarding to help people reach their dreams. Our business relationship
with these total strangers end up as friendships. A lot of them become
part of our social circle."
